Fix "spawn uvx ENOENT" for Python MCP servers

The error

Error: spawn uvx ENOENT

Why it happens

Python servers such as fetch, git, time, and many awslabs servers launch with uvx, which comes from uv. Either uv isn't installed, or it lives in ~/.local/bin, which GUI apps don't have on their PATH.

How to fix it

  1. Install uv
    Use the official installer.
    curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh

powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"
  2. Use the absolute path
    Find it with which uvx and put it in the config.
